G Force Stretches Golfers for Charity
Every sport uses a different combination of muscles to perform. Fitness pros know this and create sports-specific training and stretching routines to help athletes (and novices alike) maximize their potential. Here’s how G Force is giving back to the community using their strengths and talents!
Stretching promotes injury prevention and relaxation. It’s also important to performance enhancement as it helps build stronger and healthier muscles with increased range of motion.
While stretching on your own is integral in creating or maintaining a healthy body, it’s also a touch counter-productive. Think about the hamstring stretch where you’re standing, bent over forward, your hands reaching for the ground. Yes, you’re getting a wonderful stretch but you’re also using those muscles to hold your body up.
Having a professional properly stretch your body in a relaxed state allows your muscles to elongate to their fullest potential, thereby improving your flexibility up to 80% faster and more effectively than stretching on your own!
Owner of G Force, Gidon Gabbay designed a mini-stretching routine specifically for golfers. This routine is about 5 minutes long and stretches the hamstrings, thighs, glutes, lower back, chest and shoulders.
Every year for the last four years, the G Force team has been donating this knowledge and services to local charity golf tournaments, like the one we hosted in 2007 for the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of Canada. We’re happy to share that this year we’ll be sponsoring and attending 20 golf tournaments across the G.T.A.!

For each event, we set up a 10 x 10 tent, complete with mats, at a designated hole. When the golfers come through, waiting to take their next shot, G Force offers them these specialized services. Many golfers have commented how they notice a big difference in their swing by gaining a greater range of motion.
“We are so thankful for the opportunity to volunteer at all these events that benefit so many important charities,” says Gidon Gabbay, owner of G Force Training. “It’s always a fun day with great people, so it’s something we enjoy doing as well!”
