Prepair Not Repair
With the holiday season fast approaching, we may think that packing on the pounds is inevitable, but people should PREPARE for the holiday season, rather than REPAIR afterwards, which is much harder to do. If we start our intense training and nutritional focus BEFORE the holidays, then we are able to change our bodies and minds to better be able to deal with all the excess.

When you get used to a healthy lifestyle and eating well, you’ll find those mental urges to “pig-out” to be lessened. You are removing yourself from the mind-frame of “I might as well eat everything I want for now – the diet starts next month”. Instead, you will think, “I’ve been doing so well with eating healthy and working out, it’s really not worth throwing that all away. I’ll just have a little”. We all know what that elusive “next week” or “next month” diet is like. It just never seems to come!
2. If you consistently eat well and exercise, then you will change the way your body functions, and make it much more capable of processing the food that you eat. You’re metabolic rate will be elevated and you won’t store fat as easily. This means that even when you do indulge over the holidays, the amount of regression will be significantly less because your body is better prepared to deal with the onslaught of fat, sugar and carbs. Also, when the damage done is minimal, getting back into your pre-holiday routine doesn’t seem like such a daunting task as if you were just starting from scratch.
So, plan ahead! Get ready for all those Hannukah/Christmas/New Years dinners/lunches/socials by getting your body – and your mind – into gear today! Start NOW.
